IMPACT

We believe passionately in the creative potential of young people with SEND, that the arts can open up lines of communication for children & young people  who overwise struggle to be heard.

The fantastic work that students create whilst they are with us is only possible because of the support of our community, be it the Local Authority, Governing Board, Parents or Partner Arts Organisations.

We are an open school that is always open for forming new partnerships and projects as well as sharing our experiance and expertise. In recent years our staff have done this through going into universities to lecture on best practice or develop collaborative work. As well as  advising on policy through being Trustees, Governors and Volunteers in other Charities and Organisations.

Many of our students leave us with a wide variety of accreditation in the arts, having completed creative arts courses awarded by ASDAN, NCFE & Arts Award.

Students also build their cultural capital by the huge range of activities provided at Riverside.
This not only includes after school clubs for bowling, swimming, cookery, art, drumming, cycling, gym, breakfast clubs, and hydrotherapy, but also making the most of London and the wider world. This includes a sensory opera by The English Touring Opera, links with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and theatre visits to the West End (to see hit shows such as Les Miserables).
