BEYOND LESSONS
‘Learning to Live Life to the Full’
We believe in the creative potential of all our students and look towards the Arts as a vehicle to celebrate our community. As well as well planned and resourced lessons we also go above and beyond on a regular basis to create experiences out of the classroom were students can experience what the arts have to offer, develop interests that they may take on into adult life and participate in the wider society.
Some recent examples include, Residential trips to Slovenia to stake Part in the Art up down project, Macaroni woods residential trips, Theatre Trips to see Wicked and a whole school trip to Chicken Shed theatre Company to see the Toymakers Child. Are teams visit local cinemas, perform in concerts and visit the south bank for music recitals.
Our class teams regularly visit and work with external arts organisations that have included;
Haringey Creates, Royal Academy of Arts, Alexander Palace, Bruce Castle Museum, English Touring Opera, Inland Waterways, Chaos Theory Events, Serpentine Gallery, Open City, Shakespeare school’s festival, A.N.D, Young V&A, Cypher BILLBOARD, Crafts Council, Museum of London, British Museum, Groundswell Arts, and Falmouth School of Art.
Please note we are often only able to make our extra curricular experiences happen for our students through fundraising via our school charity "Out & About" find out more HERE or if you would like to donate towards making these experience for young people happen please DONATE HERE
